Description

Tuberculosis (TB) can be cured. Yet each year, more than a million people die from the disease, and it remains a leading killer of both women and people living with HIV. Part of Millennium Development Goal #6 is to have halted by 2015 and begun to reverse the incidence of major infectious diseases including tuberculosis by 2015. The Program for Appropriate Technology in Health (PATH) works with partners around the world to put in place high-quality TB programs and ensure that communities are involved in decisions affecting their health.

The Curry International Tuberculosis Center (CITC) is one of these partners, providing curriculum development and training, educational products, medical consultation, research, and health systems strengthening technical assistance within the USA and internationally.
