Description

Research in sub-Saharan Africa since 2008, in  HIV and TB clinical and epidemiological issues, including implementation science and linkages to care. Research interests include community-based HIV and tuberculosis (TB) diagnosis, TB/HIV co-infection, and TB transmission dynamics in settings with generalized HIV epidemics. Co-investigator in the SEARCH Trial of a “test and treat” approach in East Africa, and Chair of the SEARCH Trial HIV Testing Working Group implementing large-scale, multi-disease community health campaigns and population-wide HIV testing. Co-Principal Investigator of the IBIS-Health study, investigating novel incentive approaches to increase HIV testing among men in rural Uganda.
