I have been conducting worldwide randomized controlled smoking cessation trials in Spanish and English for about 15 years. At UCSF, I founded the Latino Mental Health Research Program and the Internet World Health Research Center. I am actively involved in the International Society for Research on Internet Interventions and the Global Consortium on Depression Prevention. I am currently Director of the Institute for International Internet Interventions for Health (i4Health) at Palo Alto University, and Adjunct Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Stanford University where I am part of a planning group working on a Global Mental Health Initiative.
