Description
The EMSC Data Coordinating Center (DCC), based at the University of Utah School of Medicine, provides a central repository for data generated by each of the PECARN research nodes and their hospital affiliates. The DCC also works with each of the RNC Principal Investigators to implement PECARN-wide standards for datacollection and analysis in order to ensure uniformity and quality of the data and monitor the safety and timely progress of PECARN studies. PECARN is the Pediatric Emergency Care Applied Research Network, the first federally-funded multi-institutional network for research in pediatric emergency medicine in the United States. The PECARN network consists of:
a data coordinating center
six Research Node Centers (RNCs)
an EMS Demonstration node funded in 2013
18 Hospital Emergency Department Affiliates (HEDAs)
