Description

Background: As the COVID-19 epidemic in the United States grew, a paucity of testing resources began to inhibit control efforts. Health care workers (HCWs) represent a high-risk group for this disease, as they have more frequent and high-risk interactions with COVID-19- positive individuals. We undertook a cost-effectiveness analysis to determine the optimal testing strategy for HCWs in order to inform decisions regarding their assignment to different units in health care facilities.

Research Question: What SARS-CoV-2 testing strategies should be employed in the US for screening HCWs to help inform assignment to COVID-19 units in health care facilities?
