Leadership on partnerships and technical network management for the Abortion Service Quality (ASQ) Initiative
Location(s): Ethiopia; Nigeria; Bangladesh; Argentina
Description
The Abortion Service Quality (ASQ) Initiative is a group of organizations collaborating to develop the first ever global standard for measuring the quality of abortion services in low- and middle-income countries, both in and out of health care facilities.
Criteria that will be examined in developing the global standard will include safety, accessibility, and a positive, non-stigmatized client experience, among others.
Our goal is to facilitate widespread adoption and use of a standard client-centered metric of abortion quality of care that is actionable, simple, and valid. The primary audience for the metric includes institutions, programs, or groups that provide abortions, with a secondary audience of government leaders, policymakers, and advocacy groups.
