Research focus is rheumatic heart disease and endocarditis, including guideline development and international partnerships through the American Heart Association.  I am the current chair of the Rheumatic Fever, Endocarditis and Kawasaki Disease Committee at the American Heart Association, and former Board member and chair of the Scientific Policy and Advocacy committeethe World Heart Federation.
