Framework for quality of family planning services

Sponsor: William and Flora Hewlett Foundation

Location(s): United States

The Private Sector Healthcare Initiative of the Global Health Group at the University of California, San Francisco, advances the development of standardized performance metrics for social franchise programs in health. This grant will support the Initiative to undertake studies and consultations to develop technical consensus for a framework that measures the quality of care in family planning social franchises. The framework will focus particularly on the quality of patient-client interactions, which can be harder to regulate in franchised clinical settings.
