The GenteGas pilot uses a market-based approach to distribute affordable LPG stoves to low-income households in peri-urban Alontenango, Guatemala. GenteGas trains local women entrepreneurs to distribute LPG stoves and tanks and to engage their communities around LPG stove use and safety.
The current research will use mixed methods to better understand factors influencing sustained adoption (and non-adoption) of LPG stoves, and how the behavior change strategies used in the GenteGas program can help
