EPIC (Enhancing PrEP in Community Settings) is a two-part study that aims to assess adherence to PrEP and develop and evaluate an intervention to optimize adherence to PrEP. The PrEP demonstration project and EPIC will be conducted at the San Francisco City Clinic, San Francisco’s only municipal sexually transmitted disease clinic. The study will explore factors that influence adherence and risk behaviors in a San Francisco-based study that also tests strategies that to support adherence, including individualized counseling and text messaging.
