Much of my global health work has been during my residency at the University of Washington providing anesthesia in Honduras and Brazil.  Currently, I am focusing on building a stronger pain management program at UCSF, and plan to take these lessons from advancing pain curricula to other countries starting with the why of pain, pain assessment, and on up to advanced interventional techniques.
