Description

The AIDS Education and Training Center (AETC) Program is the training arm of the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program. The AETC Program is a national network of leading HIV experts who provide locally based, tailored education, clinical consultation and technical assistance to healthcare professionals and healthcare organizations to integrate high quality, comprehensive care for those living with or affected by HIV. HIV care is a complex, challenging field, and ongoing, high-quality training and support is essential for clinicians caring for people living with HIV.

The AIDS Education and Training Center (AETC) Program was established in 1987 by the Department of Health and Human Services’ (DHHS) Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). It is administered by the Division of Training and Capacity Development in the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program of HRSA, HIV/AIDS Bureau. The Ryan White Program provides HIV-related services to more than half a million people each year who do not have sufficient health care coverage or financial resources to cope with HIV disease. Ryan White fills gaps in care not covered by other sources.
