Description

The principal objective of this grant is to strengthen human capacity to improve the service delivery to people living with HIV/AIDS both in the U.S. and the Caribbean.

The Twinning Center will establish two or three twinning programs (partnerships) between US-based clinics with experience providing community-based clinical and support services to people infected with HIV, including prevention of maternal to child transmission, and clinics planning to providing similar services in the Caribbean. Clinics will be selected in collaboration with HRSA/HAB and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Global AIDS Program/Caribbean Regional Office (CDC/GAP). Participating US clinics may include demonstration sites funded under this SPNS initiative. Caribbean clinics will be selected from the following: Haiti, Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana and Caribbean Epidemiology Centre (CAREC)§ countries and other CDC/GAP priority countries in the region
