Description

This study examines the relationship between the introduction of these high-deductible plans into an integrated health plan and access to chemical dependency treatment services. We will use an existing dataset of health plan members who have deductible plans and CD problems to examine CD treatment, other medical services use, and cost over a year. Additionally, we will conduct interviews with a subsample of this cohort to examine in more detail the members’ understanding of these plans and their cost-sharing, their satisfaction with these plans, and the relationship to decision-making.
