Quality Improvement Implementation at Last Mile Health, Liberia
Last Mile Health focuses on delivering healthcare to rural areas through the use of Community Health Workers. The organization sought to strengthen their community outreach and improve outcomes through the implementation of Quality Improvement. Quality Improvement was implemented at Last Mile Health through two 2-day trainings of Quality Assurance Officers and key personnel. These trainings were followed by QI project development and implementation in the field.
Aim 1. Teach the basic foundation of Quality Improvement and Quality Assurance to key personnel and staff at Last Mile Health.
Aim 2. Develop Quality Improvement Projects specific to each district that help improve overall goals of the organization and healthcare delivery.
Aim 3: Develop QI curriculum to be taught to all LMH staff using the training of trainer model.
