LEAH trains leaders in five core maternal-child health disciplines including medicine, nursing, nutrition, psychology and social work. This advanced leadership training is based within the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) (main site) and University of California, Berkeley (UCB), San Francisco State University, University of San Francisco, the Bay Area community, state/regional and national public health agency and health professional organizational levels. This leadership training is accomplished through formal course work at UCSF and UCB, clinical training in university-based and community-based clinical settings, development and implementation of research projects, policy analysis of key areas affecting health care delivery systems and participation in continuing education, consultation and technical assistance with faculty at a local, community, state/regional and national level.
