Conducting several research and education collaborative initiatives with colleagues China, Hong Kong, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Brazil, and Hungary.

With the Vietnam Quang Tri Hanh Phuc Program, we are working toward improving the quality of health care services provided in community health stations and to building the capacity of community residents for health promotion and management.

With the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)-(Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam), I provide curriculum development consultation to build capacity for nurses, with the goal of protecting the health and safety of working populations.

I have been mentoring and training nurse scientists for the Brazilian government sponsored nursing students in the “Doctoral Student Training Abroad Program,” as well as for pre  and postdoctoral fellows supported by the Global Korean Nursing Foundation for their training in the U.S.
