Anthropologist with a focus on gender & sexuality, the commodification of the body, cross-cultural bioethics, social & reproductive justice, and refugee health and forced migration. Ethnographic fieldwork in family planning among Afghan refugees in Iran, Iran's compensated kidney donation; egg donation in Spain; the psychological, social, and economic impact of occupation on Palestinian women in the West Bank; and infertility, reproductive technologies and the market in eggs and sperm in the US & globally.
