Biomarkers for Malaria Elimination (BIOME) will generate clinical data to better understand the concentration of keyPf biomarkers—including histidine-rich protein 2, parasites, and nucleic acids—and their kinetics over the course of an infection. The results will provide a clearer understanding of the potential of a new test for detecting infected individuals with low-density infections.
