Description

Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) is an evidence-based practice used to identify, reduce, and prevent problematic use, abuse, and dependence on alcohol and illicit drugs.  SBIRT is a collaborative and interdisciplinary effort to prepare students in social work, nursing, and counseling to use an integrated behavioral health model that addresses alcohol and substance abuse issues.
