Description

On June 6-7, 2016, UC San Francisco hosted a Precision Public Health Summit, a partnership with the White House and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, to discuss how precision medicine approaches can be successfully applied in the public health arena to improve population health and equity.

This two-day summit focused on the first 1,000 days, a critically important developmental period in infants and children. Experts from around the country explored how big data can be leveraged to ensure that all children, no matter their circumstance or where they live, have the best opportunity to survive and thrive.
