Bio-Rad Geenius HIV-1/2  is a rapid HIV test incorporating separate HIV-1 and HIV-2 antigens which incorporates separate HIV-1 and HIV-2 antigens applied as distinct lines similar in fashion to a line immunoassay. The machine has operational advantages including standardization through the use of an automated reader and traceability features required of quality management systems. It is functional using serum, plasma, or whole blood.
