Description

I-TECH played a central role in helping to establish the Caribbean HIV/AIDS Regional Training (CHART) Network in 2003, and continues to provide targeted technical assistance to it and other organizations in the region in the areas of clinical mentoring of physicians and nurses, quality improvement, operational systems strengthening, and instructional design. The CHART Network is made up of six training centers, which are located in the Bahamas, Barbados, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, and two in Haiti. A Regional Coordinating Unit (RCU) is based at the University of the West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica. As a result of the network's increased capacity, I-TECH has been transitioning its leadership role to the CHART RCU.
