Helped develop a new academic partnership at the Muhimbili Orthopaedic Institute in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania with IGOT (Institute for Global Orthopedics and Traumatology) and conducted a large collaborative prospective study evaluating the outcomes of femoral shaft fractures in that setting. We also initiated an annual orthopaedic trauma course teaching local surgeons techniques to manage fractures. I plan to continue to use academic partnership to improve musculoskeletal care in developing settings through education and research. I aim to make global orthopaedic care the primary focus of my research efforts.  http://www.igotglobal.org
