As founder and  director of “Global Partners in Anesthesia and Surgery”-GPAS  (www.globalPAS.org) I work to address  surgery and anesthesia as public health issue. Much of our work over the past decade has been in Anesthesia, Surgery, Obstetrics and Trauma in Uganda. We promote sustainable academic partnerships to develop improvements in workforce and capacity in Low and Middle income countries. I am also a Visiting Lecturer at Makerere University, Kampala ,Uganda, External Examiner for Makerere  College of Health Sciences and  Faculty/Anesthesia representative of the global  health clinical scholars program at UCSF.
