Description

The Frameworks Postdoctoral Fellowship in Global Health was a training program awarded to UC Berkeley and UCSF by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Fogarty International Center. The program provided six months of funding for PhD or MD postdocs from disciplines traditionally not involved in global health, who would like to initiate a project related to infectious diseases and drug-resistance in Brazil, India, South Africa, or another emerging economy country. Ellen Yeh used the funding funds to work in the DeRisi Lab studying the Mechanism of artemisinin resistance in P. falciparum
